Emergency Medical Technician
Elite Ambulance Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT) Program is a three-five-month course of study based on the U.S. Department of Transportation's National EMS Education Standards and the NHTSA National EMS Scope of Practice Model for EMT Instruction. Upon successful completion of the course of studies, Elite Ambulance EMT candidates are eligible to test the National Registry examination for EMT's to gain their license as an EMT-Basic. Incorporated into each 170-hour course are 16 hours of ambulance ride time and 16 hours of clinical rotation in hospital emergency departments.
Who should take this course?
Elite Ambulance’s Emergency Medical Technician course is designed for individuals who either want to enhance their career in EMS or for individuals that wish to get their foot into the EMS door. This is an entry-level course with no prior experience or education needed (besides a high school diploma or GED).

Basic Life Support (BLS)
The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
